PassivWorks

From the looks of it, you'd never guess this beautiful home was a green energy experiment! Rick Milburn of PassivWorks spent 18 months retrofitting the 1960-built Sonoma, California home to be ultra energy-efficient. (It was actually the first retrofit passive project in the US–read all the details here!) What I love most, of course, is the light and breezy color scheme by Jann Blazona Interior Design. Everything is so open and airy! Can't get enough of the turquoise tile and built-ins, not to mention fab laundry room!! Read all about the home and see more photos by Ned Bonzi right over here!

Liz Levin Interiors

I love how the bursts of color flow seamlessly through this Maryland home designed by Liz Levin Interiors! Not only are the spaces warm, welcoming and family-friendly (fabric that resist spills is always good!), but super-stylish as well! I especially love the large built-in bookcase she painted a pretty peacock color and the great mix of chairs in dining room! You can see 'before' pics of the space and read more about it here! And check out Nesting, Liz's online store filled entirely with stylish kid-friendly and pet-friendly custom furniture! (How smart is that?!)

Carter Kay Interiors

If I was ever fortunate enough to have a beach house, I'd love to hire Carter Kay Interiors to do the decorating! Their style is so up my alley, I am drooling over every inch of this Sea Island, Georgia home photographed by Emily Jenkins Followill! From that drop dead gorgeous kitchen to the blue and green bedroom and everything in between, it's truly a stunner! I love all the sandy neutrals and natural elements with bits of coastal color and accessories mixed in...just gorgeous! See more of this home as well as more projects by Carter Kay here! And you definitely don't want to miss another unforgettable project of theirs I featured several years ago–go here for that!

Aiken House and Gardens

I landed upon one of the prettiest corners of the internet when I stumbled upon the blog Aiken House & Gardens! Carolyn calls Prince Edward Island home, and from her photos, it's everything I've dreamed it to be! I am so in love with these two spaces she shared: her delightful summer boathouse and vintage style guest bath. Both so romantic and dreamy! They recently finished painting the bathroom Behr "Marina Isle" and I think it's perfection...especially with that beautiful aqua tub! And wouldn't that cozy boathouse be the ideal place to spend an afternoon?? Not only there is there so much more pretty to see at Aiken House & Gardens, Carolyn also recently released her very own magazine filled with her stunning photography and spaces...check that out here!

Oh and I had to share these two images of hers too...I love lilacs so much, it's especially hard to resist them when paired with turquoise! (See more here!)

Chango & Co.

Darling doesn't even come close to describing this room! Designed by Susana Simonpietri and her New York interior design firm Chango & Co., the cheery space photographed by Jacob Snavely would surely delight any age with its custom upholstered bed, amazing built-ins, beautiful bedding (love Serena & Lily!) and fab wallpaper! (The view isn't anything to complain about either!) What a lucky girl, I say! Definitely head here to read about and see more photos of this waterfront apartment! And while you're there, visit Chango & Co.'s Behind the Scenes section...it's a fun peek into the work of an interior designer!
