Paternoster Beach Cottage

Never thought I'd have a pic of a man showering on my blog...Happy Friday, ladies! This incredible stone cottage located on a private nature reserve overlooking an undisturbed beach on the West Coast of South Africa immediately stole my heart! Captured by Cape Town photographer Micky Hoyle, the home was built entirely from local stone and was designed to blend into the surrounding countryside. Love how those aqua shutters and gates pop right out at you though, especially with the sea in the background–it's breathtaking! See more of the home and read the article all about it over at House and Leisure!

Glynis Wood Interiors

Doesn't get much better than this! Located in the hills of Northwest Austin, this breathtaking home designed by Glynis Wood Interiors and photographed by Bryant Hill has a fabulous rustic twist to its contemporary style. The color palette just sings to me; the layers of neutrals and sea-inspired blues and greens are so relaxing! Love all the textures inside and out, the great big windows and unique light fixtures, not to mention that incredible outdoor living area! I'd be out there ALL the time! Finish your tour of this home and see more designs by Glynis Wood here!

Thornton Designs

I became a life-long fan of Connecticut interior designer Lee Ann Thornton of Thornton Designs several years ago (you'll see why here!) so I was ecstatic to see her work featured on the cover of March's House Beautiful! Lee Ann shared more photos of the Old Greenwich home taken by photographer Karyn R. Millet on her blog, and I couldn't resist sharing them with you! Such peaceful colors and natural textures everywhere, all inspired by the seaside location of the home. I adore the blue that Lee Ann custom-mixed for the living room walls and gallery trim, and the fabulous Quadrille fabrics she chose for those spaces. And I love the pops of orange in the bedroom!
