Have you guys checked out the March issue of House Beautiful? It's all about perfect color combos, including a new spin on red, white and blue with this 1828 Nantucket beach cottage designed by Gary McBournie. The Boston interior designer (who also has offices in Nantucket and Palm Beach) actually owns the little cottage, and I think it epitomizes his style: Classic American with a subtle twist on tradition. I just adore the design of living room, which was inspired by the great ticking stripe fabric. He even cut out the blue and red stripe from the fabric and used it as a border on the curtains! LOOVE the paint color too, of course it just happens to by Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue–one of my favorites! The kitchen is too perfect with Benjamin Moore's Covington Blue abound! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been racking my brain (and google!!) for how to bring these colours together. I noticed that there is even some green and yellow in the throw cushions - two must-have colours for me. I have a somewhat open concept kitchen/dining/living, and though each room is a distinct space, because they are all seen from the other rooms, I need a colour scheme that will be unique to each room and will still work together well. This is just what I needed for the inspiration.
Love Palladian Blue! I have it on my dining room ceiling and the walls of my master bedroom and bath. Looks gorgeous in all three places.
I really like how he introduced red accents in each room. The rooms have their own feel, but flow beautifully. Very well done!

Going to be different here, I love the kitchen, the detailing at the bottom of the base cabinets especially. Also love the living room sofa, the color of the walls, very well put together room.
