Vanessa De Vargas + Giveaway Winner!

Who is ready for Friday?! Oh how I'd love have an outdoor space exactly like this one in Venice, California designed by Vanessa De Vargas of the LA-Based firm Turquoise. (What's not to love about that name?!) Swim, dine, relax, cook, play...all the important bases are covered here! I love the huge doors that open up into the dining room. What a place to party! And hello there, pink shelves, I love you almost as much as I love turquoise! You can see lots more of the colorful, eclectic interior photographed by Jeri Koegel right on over here!

There were lots of entries for the Stella and Dot giveaway, but sadly only one winner! Who happens to be....

So fun! Make sure to come back next week because I have yet another giveaway you're all going to LOVE, and it's a BIG one! Have an awesome weekend everyone! :)

Loop Design

How fun is this kitchen?! When the Austin, Texas home was remodeled by architect Christy Seals of Loop Design, the focus was on the homeowners' passion for cooking and entertaining...and dare I say love of color?? The results are so light, bright and cheery (my favorite combo!), even I would be inspired to cook up a storm here! I really liked what the owner had to say about the results of their remodel:
My husband is a neuroscientist and fond of telling me about the various psychological studies he comes across in his line of work. One of my favorites involves happiness—that we derive more happiness from experiences than things. We’ve decided that although our remodeled house is a “thing,” we’ve had so much fun experiencing the new space, whether entertaining friends and family, cooking in our fabulous new kitchen, watching movies, or just hanging out, we find ourselves pretty darn happy.
I love that. You can see more photos of the home taken by Atelier Wong right here!

Being Brook

I've never really been too much into crafts, but I'm pretty sure this room would inspire me big time!! The space belongs to Brook of the blog Being Brook. She's all about creating awesome, and she definitely did that here! Her (and my) favorite part of the room is the giant aqua craft table that her husband built for her birthday (painted Behr’s Windwood Springs). And get this...the craft room is where their formal dining room is supposed to be–I always love it when people repurpose their dining rooms. This one is open, smack dab in the middle of their house, so she always knows what's going on! Looks like I'm seeing another Katie Daisy fan here too...I have some of those same prints in my office! For more pics, sources and everything else about the super-creative space, just visit Being Brooke!

Porchlight Interiors

Straight out of the Hamptons! Or in this case, Brisbane!! Designed by Australian-duo Hayley Hayes and Tracey Leeson of Porchlight Interiors, this beautiful beachy home is full of coastal touches, pops of color, and great pattern...all on a clean white background. I love the Kerry Shipps turquoise coral prints, the blue and white Dash and Albert rug, and all the furniture, especially the comfy slipcovered sofas! You guys can see even more photos over at the Porchlight Interiors blog, and for the impressive before-and-afters, check out A Welsh Girl in Australia...it really is a jaw-dropping transformation!!

Good Interiors + Stella & Dot Giveaway!

I would have never guessed it, but this space you're seeing here was actually built as a church in 1898! Boston interior designer Lisey Good of Good Interiors worked with Steven Young Architect + Fine Homebuilder on renovating the dilapidated space. And work they did...when they got their hands on it there were no floors, only exterior walls! Now it's four stories tall, and includes this 3,600 sq ft condo with 10 ft ceilings and so much light! I love the continuity from the pops of blue in all the rooms. If I was ever shy to paint my shelves turquoise, I'd be convinced now...it looks great here! You can read all about this interesting home and see more photos taken by Greg Premru over at Design New England!
