Happiest of Birthdays!

With a set up like this, you know you are in for a good time! The poolside addition was designed by architect Fernanda Moreira Lima for an energetic family in São Paulo. Everything from the rainbow of colors, comfy furnishings, home theater, dining space, kids space, even the little office screams fun! And to have all of that opening up to the pool?! Par-tay time!

It's no coincidence that I am sharing the happiest of spaces today–it's my husband's birthday! And let me tell you, he is absolutely worth celebrating! He's the kindest, most sweetest guy ever...it's just a bonus that he is so handsome! We've been married almost a year now and it's been the happiest time of my life! :)

Elizabeth B. Gillin + Falcon Industries

New England charm on the on the Jersey Shore! This Mantoloking Shores waterfront vacation home was designed by Elizabeth B. Gillin and built by Brian Furey, principal of Falcon Industries in Normandy Beach. The owner is an avid sailor who wanted the central theme of the home to be New England lighthouse style. It even has a three-story lighthouse observatory! I love the light and airy, no fuss feel the to the summer getaway. So much blue, I can't get enough!! I especially love the blue stripes in the stairway–so cute! You can see more photos by Patricia Burke and read all about the home (including lots of sources!) over at Design New Jersey!

Dan Waibel Designer Builder

You think the owners of this home love turquoise too?! The art deco inspired space by Dan Waibel Designer/Builder out of Peoria, Illinois and photographed by David Price of Black Olive Photographic is so fun and colorful, you'd have to think the owners are pretty happy people themselves! (I would certainly cook with a smile in that kitchen!) I love the mix of white and turquoise cabinetry, with all the great tile bringing it together! The pop of yellow is really fun too! You can tour more of this home right here!

Jeanette Van Wicklen Design - Part 2

Is it just me or is that first room one of the prettiest bathrooms you've ever laid eyes on?! Designed by Jeanette Van Wicklen of JVW Home out of Austin, Texas, the renovated 1800's farmhouse photographed by Katie Clementson and Paul Finkel of Piston Design has all the luxuries we crave, while staying true to the home's roots. Just like yesterday, each photo has so many great details it's hard to know where to begin! The bathroom is a total dream. To have all that space, pretty cabinetry, comfy seating and a great bathtub?! *sigh* I love all the furniture in the bedrooms too, and of course the pretty colors. (The master bedroom is painted Valspar Aquatic Edge with Valspar Clean White on the trim.) The bedding on the twin beds in the guestroom is super duper cute too. And what lucky guests that get to stay in the guesthouse! It's absolutely delightful!!

I know you're all dying to see more from Jeanette after this, so visit her website and her blog for more! (And don't forget to enter her giveaway for one of those cute pillows!)

Jeanette Van Wicklen Design - Part 1

I just have to wonder with some homes how in the heck the owners ever mange to leave! This one designed by Jeanette Van Wicklen of JVW Home is one of them. The interior designer out of Austin, Texas knows a thing or two about our favorite colors...oh my gosh, they're everywhere! There are so many gorgeous rooms in this home, photographed so beautifully by Paul Finkel of Piston Design and Katie Clementson, that I just can't fit them all in one day. Today we're starting off in the family areas of the home. Can you believe the home was built in the 1800's?? It's actually an old farmhouse in the west hills of Austin that Jeannette and her husband lovingly renovated. There are so many great details, I feel like every time I look at the photos I see something new that I love! Yup, pretty sure I'd never leave!

Make sure to come back tomorrow to finish the tour and see the gorgeous bedrooms and possibly one of my favorite bathrooms of all time!
Paint Info:

-Living Room (with rock fireplace & brown sectional) & Dining Room - Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage

-Family Room (the one with the white sectional) - Benjamin Moore "Prescott Green" HC-140
