It's always an exciting day when Pantone announces their pick for Color of the Year! Emerald is their choice for 2013 and I'm very pleased...it looks fantastic with turquoise! According to Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, green is the most abundant hue in nature. The human eye actually sees more of it than any other color in the spectrum. I'm thinking green and blue has to be Mother Nature's favorite color combo! It could grow on me, but I don't really like it all that much. It looks very good in some of the photos you posted, but in other ones I didn't care for it that much. I find I'm often underwhelmed by Pantone's color of the year choices, but I like seeing them, never the less.

Somebody asked me a few weeks ago what the new paint colors will be and I said "Green", and its really a classic! I am so happy its making a comeback..I really missed it!

Greens have been a big seller this year in tile especially glass mosaic tile. The photo of the emerald backsplash is great by the way!
