Helene Toresdotter

This delightful home photographed by Helene Toresdotter has so much spirit, I love it! Located in Sweden, the 4-story home overlooking the sea was built in 1916, but the owner André Waldhör spent three years renovating the space. It's obvious he considered the history of the home, it has so much historical charm! And get this...all the furniture in the home was bought used or found in a landfill! I have to say though my favorite part is the Josef Frank wallcoverings (Vårklockor and Eldblomma), and of course all the turquoise trim! You can see even more photos of the home over at Hus & Hem!

I was going to say this looks Scandinavian. I lived in Norway for 3 years and it just has some similar features to our house. I love those windows at the peak! The turquoise trim color is really fun.

The more times I visit your blog, the more I am thinking about painting my house. The living room needs an up lifting color and you are really swaying me into the turquoise and aqua hues. Last Saturday my husband needed something at Ace Hardware. I went in with him and they are giving free quarts of paint away this month on Saturdays (one more Saturday left ladies). So I looked through the paint colors and picked a pale aqua. I'm thinking about an accent wall. Anyway, I could not pass up a free quart of paint. If I don't use it in the living room, I'll use it somewhere, maybe the kitchen. My kitchen is a medium gray so an accent of aqua might be pretty. Well, enough said I love your blog. You certainly inspire me. If you have a minute come on over for a visit, my welcome mat is always out. Your fan and follower, Connie
