This cool blue and white Miami apartment designed by Ike Kligerman Barkley and photographed by Steven Brooke Studios is one big homage to the saturated colors of the Gulf Stream and Florida sky. The home is actually a warm weather retreat for a couple from the Northeast, so I'm sure they welcome the drama this home provides during a long winter. I just LOVE cobalt blue and turquoise together, such a cool combo. I know this is daring, but would you like it for a vacation home?? (You can just take the view too, that's fine by me!)

Yes and no, Erin. I think tropical areas allow for more use of saturated color (and it's gorgeous in those areas) - but this is a bit much. I feel like all I can see is COLOR! So many different shades, all pretty saturated, means there's not a lot of places to rest the eye - it has a bit of a 'hip hotel lobby' feel to me. I'm a bit too worn out, alas, for all that drama, pretty as it is.
Lovely view!

OMG! What I wouldn't give for that dining table... Great photos today, as always!!
I am seeing that "gorgeous" color blue "all over the place" with "shots" of turquoise - it's a HIT! We leave for Miami tomorrow!! franki
wow, wow, bright blue. This is very pretty & always a great color for waking you up!!
Turquoise on the ceiling is genius. Gorgeous!
Like Musette, my initial reaction was "hotel", but after looking at it again, it's really pretty cool for a getaway. If you're going to really "get away", go for crazy different! But living in it long term? I dunno. I will take the view!
I believe this is THE boldest design I've seen , Erin, on your Blog! Beautiful to look at! And that view is to die for.
It is so soooooothing to look at....where do you find them all?? LLO
Slick! is the word that comes to mind.
this makes me happy =)

my husband would LOOOOOOVE if this was our house!!
Love the wallpaper in the 2nd to the last pic!!
God, no! Just the view. Maybe!
I have never seen a home with so much blue in it but it works pretty well in this. It might be a little too much for most but for me, it brings so much energy and life to the space. The details are great but by far, the view is the best! Thank you for this wonderful post.
