I love the design philosophy of Viscusi Elson Interior Design: “Design that celebrates life.” The Los Altos, California firm gets to know how their clients truly function in their home (the reality) in addition to how they'd like to live in it (the fantasy), to combine both for truly amazing results. This cheery Cape Cod-inspired home is a beautiful medley of great style and function, perfect for a busy family–and a slew of friends! I know many of you are wondering....the pretty, pretty paint color: Benjamin Moore HC-142 Stratton Blue with OC-22 Cotton Balls on the trim. Love it. Finish touring this happy home here!

Love this home. The space is open and airy but still so cozy. Beautiful photos as usual, Erin. Happy New Year! :)
Beautiful spaces - really love the kitchen and office!
This space is so bright and cozy! I am in love with the built in seating around the fireplace. The extra large marble subway tile is stunning :)

As it should be!! franki
Swoon!
Pinning it all! I love the feel of these spaces, maybe more so than any you've posted. Color but still calm, casual but not sloppy and totally, completely livable. Love it all. Oh, and Wythe Blue may just have to move over and take a back seat to Stratton Blue..
Thanks for the paint colors! I really thought it might be Sherwin Williams' Quietude which I used and looks very similar.
Especially like these rooms. And the extra red wall!! Love love it! Happy new year!
Love so much about this design. At first look I thought the color was Wythe Blue, and I wasn't far off! Stratton works well with all those pops of yellow and orange in the fabric and accesories. I also like how the designer incorporated subtle coastal elements but the space isn't overwhelmed by them.
Coming back for another look (because I can't keep my eyes off it) and the more I study this living room, the more I think that the black accents are really what makes it.
You always pick the most beautiful images that inspire me!
I love kitchens that open into the living rooms! Super appealing space. Happy New Year!
I'm a new follower, I love your blog! I also love turquoise and teal and your pictures are so inspirational!
I think my favorite part is the kitchen table that sits in the middle of the kitchen... As though the conversation that happens there is the center of it all. Which, as it should be...
I adore the boxed light shades (perhaps even candle shades) in the first image!! Gorgeous :D TFS Erin!
Your blog is beautiful! Such a pleasure to look at!
Great color and a beautiful project. Thanks for sharing the paint colors.

I love absolutely everything about that family room! Thanks for featuring it. I'm sharing it over on my blog today because I love it so much! http://www.diynewlyweds.com/2012/02/my-favorite-projects-january-2012.html
Does anyone happen to know where the featured photos in the living room come from or the artist? The British Queen and The Seagull ones? LOVE these prints, very hard to find.....any ideas??
I was just looking for a nice woodwork idea for ceiling and I think I found it here. Nice and clean looking colors.
I love the brick floor and proposed the idea to Greg. He has major concerns because he feels the foundation could not support the extra weight of heavy bricks.
