You don't know how tempting it is to just pick up and move to the East Coast!! This coastal Rockport, Massachusetts summer home with interior design by Andra Birkerts is stuff my dreams are made of. The home feels like it has been around for a while, but it's actually newly built by S&H Construction with design by Charles Myer and Partners. Isn't that bunkroom incredible?? It sleeps 10 kids!! All of the pretty painted floors are my favorite feature of the home though! You can read all about the breezy home over at Design New England!

Wow! Yes, the bunkroom is beyond incredible! I love the view from the master and I wish I had the courage to paint my floors in that color. Stunning!
Have a great day, sweetie!

oh gorgeous! Love that floor and the view!
I would love that to be my cottage. What kid wouldn't want to sleep in that "bunky" space. Alright, maybe I would want that!! Thanks for sharing as always!
love the childrens bedroom!
Adorable kids rooms....imagine what happens in there after the kids are tucked in for the night! The floors I love....want to do something similar in my office if there is any $$ left in the budget after our renovation is over.
I would love to wake up to a view like that!! Well, I almost do..., almost. Rockport is incredibly cute!!!
É surpreendente como a cor do piso faz diferença na casa. A cor azul deixou o quarto super suave.
Muito lindo!
Beijos!
Storage area on the back side of the head board, very clever. Bunk room.... perfect form follows function carried out beautifully.
Who does that coral-y round pendant lamp? I've seen it a few places, but never know who makes it? I tried to look at the article, but the navigation was very difficult.
I am soooo painting the floors in my basement this color! Imagine how much light and color would be brought into a dim basement!! Love it! Thanks for featuring this home!
I want to go to there! I love those bunk beds so much.
Those tins are amazing!
I just added your blog to my favorite things Jan '12 list. Thanks for all you do to make this blog a great place to visit!

Love the floors... such a perfect shade! The kids rooms are amazing!
Your posts always bring a smile of delight to my face. I love this fun look.
Wow, the floors look amazing. Love to. x
This home is lovely! I love the choice of colors; the light tones and patterns open up the rooms greatly, and the view of the master bedroom is simply breath taking. I feel if you had a different choice of curtains or window treatments here, you could add to the room and make that view really stand out.
That kids' bedroom is beyond amazing and I love the idea of the painted floor! Would love for you to stop by and say hi!

I count 11-12 kids... and you?
I would dream to have this for my grand-children one day.

Where did the ceiling fan in the bunk room come from? What do you call that type of fan? I would love one for our loft area! Thanks for sharing these!
