NYC Bound + Giveaway Winner!

It's gonna be a good day! Chris and I are headed off bright and early this morning for a long weekend in New York City. I can't wait for the shopping (mostly of the window variety), delicious dining and hand-holding in Central Park! This magnificent townhome featured in Matchbook and photographed by Charlotte Elizabeth isn't actually in New York, it's in Charleston, South Carolina, but it reminded me of all the great homes in the city! They're so much fun to look at!

Now what you've all been waiting for...who is the winner of the Roman Glass Necklace from LoveFeast Table??

Congrats to you, Dana! And to everyone else, I hope you have a really great weekend!! Time to get your shopping on!

JoAnn Romano

Although this Kansas City home is smack dab in the middle of the country, JoAnn Romano – lead artist and owner of Architectural Elements, wanted the dining room to have a kind of coastal, beachy feel. The walls are incredible here, I love how JoAnn used both texture and metallics to bring life to the serene Aegean Sea color. She actually said the current trend in faux is color. From Tuscan to contemporary, people are looking to bring in color, freshness and happiness to their homes. I like the sound of that! Visit Kansas City Homes and Gardens to read the interesting history of this home, as well as see more photos by Chad Jackson. The home is sprinkled with turquoise!

Krista Salmon

Sometimes I wish I was little again, if only to have a insanely fun room like this one! Designed by Krista Salmon of Kiki's List for her lucky little girl Lou, the new big girl room displays attention to detail like no other! Virginia artist Corinne Marlowe painted those fab stripes on the ceiling, which match Krista's great paint job on the bed. I love the adorable P. Kaufman "Camelot" fabric on the windows, Benjamin Moore's Bird's Egg on the walls...and no doubt about it, that gorgeous chandelier! At first I thought it was my beloved designed by Marjorie Skouras, but turns out it was custom made by Lindsey of the Etsy shop Simply Salvage, who hand painted over 4,000 beads Bird's Egg to match the walls! For sources and to see more photos taken by the talented Ryann Colleen, head on over to Kiki's List!

Today I'm honored to be guest posting at my friend Luciane's blog, HomeBunch, where I shared a super cute coastal cottage with her readers! Head on over and check it out, and wish her a big congrats...she just had an adorable baby boy Matthew and I couldn't be more excited for her!

LoveFeast Shop Giveaway!

What a way to start the week off! This stunning bathroom photographed by Petrina Tinslay via 2c literally made me gasp when I saw it on Desire to Inspire. The early 18th century French mirror and glass mosaic tile are entirely incredible on their own, but the blue opaline glass chandelier and glassware turn the room into a work of art!

Speaking of works of art, I am super excited about today's giveaway courtesy of my friends over at LoveFeast Table! They are generously giving one lucky reader a Roman Glass Necklace with Byzantine Coin worth $190! Hand crafted by artist Liz Oie, the necklace features recycled Roman glass beads with 24k gold vermeil discs and is hand-linked on sterling silver with 14k gold accent hoops above the coin. And get this...the antique Byzantine Empire coin is from 600-900 AD! So cool!
