Although this Kansas City home is smack dab in the middle of the country, JoAnn Romano – lead artist and owner of Architectural Elements, wanted the dining room to have a kind of coastal, beachy feel. The walls are incredible here, I love how JoAnn used both texture and metallics to bring life to the serene Aegean Sea color. She actually said the current trend in faux is color. From Tuscan to contemporary, people are looking to bring in color, freshness and happiness to their homes. I like the sound of that! I did a library in this color palette - it was so serene, without being snoozy.
This dining room is gorgeous! I don't get 'beach' from it, though. I get Tuscan farmhouse, which is just as wonderful!

I love the rustic elements too and the slight texture on the walls. This feels like such a peaceful space!
Pictures don't do this house justice. it takes on a whole new feeling of elegant warmth to see it in person. Adria Secord did a fantastic job in choosing the color pallet on this home. It was a pleasure painting the rest of the interior of this fabulous home. It's no wonder that the home already has a buyer in this "down economy".
