What a kitchen! The owner of this penthouse in downtown Detroit featured in Detroit Home and photographed by Beth Singer wanted a kitchen that didn't look like a kitchen. Gary Fried of MDG Design created the space with interior designer Roxane Whitter Thomas to be party-ready. (Why else would you need two subzero fridges flanking a bar with a 50in tv overhead?!) That's a pretty cool granite countertop, and I'm loving the dark mahogany cabinets and mirror details. I bet the view isn't anything to complain about either!

The mirrors on the column is really quite interesting. The kitchen looks so sleek, sparkly and classy. Really is keeping to the strong black and whites :)
