Pat Healing

I literally gasped out loud when I laid my eyes on this room photographed by Maura McEvoy in the latest House Beautiful. The homeowner's oldest daughter wanted an aqua and black room, so Pat Healing of HB Home used a lot of white to keep it from being too dark. I don't know what I love more...the the always-exquisite Sara Chandelier or Paradise Background by Quadrille filling the walls with our favorite color! Speaking of Quadrille, have you seen their new fabric?? I am loving these three below!

In just a few hours we will be taking off for our long weekend in Massachusetts! I've long been dreaming about strolling the streets of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, and thanks to you all, now Chatham. In fact I think that's where we will be celebrating my birthday tomorrow! I can't think of a better place to wrap up the best year of my life. 30 sure was a good one!

Designer Annette Tatum will be stopping by tomorrow with a guest post for you guys, and on Monday I have a fantastic giveaway all ready to roll. (You'll love it!) So with that, I need to bid you adieu so I can finish packing! :)

Happy birthday, Erin! You sure have had quite the year! I hope next year is even better!

Have a safe and exciting trip! I hope you share some photos when you get back so I can pretend I was there, too, and not stuck in this crazy Minnesota where you never know what the weather is going to be like!

Okay, I do kind of like the chandelier but who needs 2000 watts of light over a bed?

That is such a great room! The color is stunning! I might have to tone it down for my tastes but I love it very much! The light fixture is my favorite detail!

This room is absolutely beautiful. It seems a bit busy, but everything is really tied together by the white. I also am in love with that light fixture.

Also, have SO much fun in Cape Cod. My family has been going there for a long time- if you have a free day try to head to Falmouth. After spending time all over the Cape my family decided that was our "spot." The downtown area is adorable and there is a really quick ferry to Martha's Vineyard from there.

If you are going to be in Chatham, think about dinner at twenty-eight atlantic, at the Wequasset resort. It is only a few minutes up the road from Chatham and DELICIOUS...

The resort is gorgeous and there are beautiful views from the restaurant. Many places in Chatham are yummy as well but this place is really special.

Have fun!!

Happy Birthday! Have a great time!
I used to have a turquoise and black bathroom with white. I love this combination. The chandelier is fantastic.

I love that "Labrynth" print too! So gorgeous. And the color is perfectly gender-neutral, meaning, my husband probably wouldn't mind it :)
