Liz Carroll Interiors

It feels like forever since I've shared a boy's room featuring our favorite color! Why should girls have all the fun? Well I know for certain one little guy who is loving his new big-boy room. His mom is Liz Carroll, an interior designer in Wilmington, NC. I love the upbeat color scheme she chose to bring some happy energy to his room, photographed here by Allison Breiner. What kid wouldn't dig the bunkbeds and all the great built-ins?! And of course those fun bean bag chairs covered in Trina Turk's Sonriza Print from Schumacher and Jonathan Adler's awesome Giraffe Lamp! I'm loving the fabric she chose for the window treatments as well (Outdura Fabric in Aquatic and Natural White). They look great against Thibaut's (scrubbable!) Harbour Linen Wallpaper in Beige. For more eye candy from Liz, just head to her website here!

Wow, that giraffe lamp is so fun!!! Adorable. I think any kid would love that.

My son will have to share his bedroom w/ our baby if we stay in this house. Matthew will be in our bedroom at first because I don't want to wake up my son every time I need to fee my baby. This a great inspiration for me. I will probably design something close to this. Bunk beds are great when space is at a premium and aren't they also so fun?! Loved them when I was a kid and always wanted to have one.

Also, you are a SWEETHEART! You know how much I like you, right? :-) Seriously, thank you so very much for your words yesterday. It made my day!

God bless you always,

It's a cheerful room, but even after all these years, turquoise and orange still shout "Howard Johnson's" to me!

The lamp alone has me in love! I LOVE that you posted a boy's room, might have to redecorate my little man's room!

What I love about this room is that it's so rare to see a boy's room without any commercial theme or references to a movie, TV show or sport. This will work for him when he is 5 and still work when he is 15. Even when he is grown and moves out, it is already set up to work as a home office, just by changing the accessories.
