It was instant love when I spotted this hall designed by Celerie Kemble over at theLENNOXX! Linda's post might have been all about shadow box molding, but it was the gorgeous wallcovering that really grabbed my attention. Ok really, to be honest, it was the adorable pup. Look at him just staring up at us....can you handle it?!
Well I can't. And Chris can't either. Because this weekend we happened to bring home our very own new little bulldog!! We've been thinking of names for a week, and yesterday after having her around for 24 hours it just hit us. She's Gertie (y'know, short for Gertrude). And she is just the sweetest little lady. I've never had a puppy before, so this is all very exciting! Now I just have to convince my cats....

When we 1st got married we bought our little Westie and I cried like a baby because of being sleep deprived for the first few weeks-she cried all night long and woke up at 5am sharp every morning. After that experience I totally put child rearing on the back burner for 3 years. Now Im 12 yrs into marriage still have that precious lil Westie and 3 kids!! What was I thinking!!!??

so fun! we got our little bulldog puppy Hippo 3 months ago, and are finally getting used to him. haha. fair warning, bulldog pups are VERY mouthy (lots of biting), and although they're sleepy adults, they can be hyper puppies! we love ours, but yes.. definitely lost sleep for the first while, and we are becoming experts at picking up smelly poo. best of luck, that wrinkly face is definitely worth all of it!

Oh my goodness..we just brought our puppy home 2 weeks ago...so precious and full of joy and I didn't even want another one...if you need any advice just ask, we haven't had an accident in the house yet..yeahh!

Ohhh, good for you and Chris. Bullys are the BEST. I lost my ten year old bull dog at the end of March and I want another soon. I'll never have anything but a bull dog again. Enjoy Miss Gertie.

That hallway is beautiful and Gertie is adorable! Congratulations, Erin, on the new addition to your family. He is too cute. We got a puppy last year and was so amazed how our cats and the new puppy bonded right away. I just supervised them for awhile at the beginning to make sure they all got along but we never had any trouble. It won't be long before your cats are cuddling up to little Gertie. Have fun!

Gertie is just gorgeous. I showed her photo to Onslow, my Miniature Australian Bulldog, and I think he's in love. I have posted a picture of him at the same age on my very new blog onslowandmissb.
