Dusty Rose (ahem, Blush!) and Turquoise

If there wasn't a drop of turquoise in this apartment in Madrid designed by Luis Puerta, I probably wouldn't be a fan. But wow, the addition of our favorite color really spices things up, doesn't it? That turquoise console is gorgeous and I love that fabric on the back of those dining chairs! See more of the home (including a super-chic kitchen and bath) over on Delikatissen!

Good morning, Erin,

I like this space, but I'd prefer without the carpet. It would look better. The colors are fun and everything feel plushy and comfy! :-)

Have a great day!

What I like best about this apartment is that the decor really stays true to the apartment buildings post-war/midcentury roots. The furniture shapes and colors and choice of glass cabinetry go really well with the apartments physical features like the dining platform. Thanks for sharing!

This space is so much fun. A great combo :)

I think if they were to do a modern day Golden Girls, this decor would be perfect!! Betty White would approve ;)

I like certain elements...such as the fabric on the dining chairs and the fluffy turquoise pillow, for sure. But boy-oh-boy...this screams..."an old lady lives here." Maybe I've just watched too much Golden Girls! :)

I love the long turquoise table, it'd be a great accent with a ton of different colored rooms.

Thanks,

if it wasn't for the turquoise this room would be dead. I'm coughing just looking at it cause it feels so, so, so "dusty". I hate (I know it's a strong word, but I'm a child of the 80's) the "dusty" rose pink & the carpet, and the dusty rose wallpaper ... Oh Lord, pleeeeease don't tell me this is coming back ... LOL

The turquoise helps, but wow I'm NOT ready for dusty rose to make a comeback EVER. Yuck, yuck, yuck. The sofa and the carpeting put me off way too much. I do kind of like the dining room chairs though.

This looks so 80s. I mean, wasn't this basically the palette for Miami Vice? Not a fan at all! I'm with Layers and Layers, I hope this isn't coming back...and never does!

Did Dusty Rose with greyed blue and farm animals 30 years ago in my daughter's room. Wallpaper was blue with cream pindots. Loved it for a while but was not happy to find out it's back. Also had a sofa and loveseat in DR in a dark green LR. Nice for a few years but it was just wearing.
I'm addicted to this website.

The chrome trim in the bathroom is to die for. I've never seen anything like it!

Pretty room although I'm not a fan of the dusty rose. I love that turquoise sofa table!

Haha, dusty rose. I haven't heard that term in YEARS. Can we change it to blush so that it sounds more modern? - Camille

This rose color is hideous. Thank goodness for the turquoise!

Hmmm, is this the new mauve? I have to say I'm not a fan. I wasn't in the 80s either. :)

Although this color combination is not one I am comfortable living in, I can truly admit this space was executed VERY well.
