If it wasn't for the internet, I'd never know that places like this exist. That's good and bad, because now I want to go. REALLY bad. But alas, my blogger's budget just doesn't allow for tropical vacations on private islands. Cayo Espanto, located in the western Caribbean off the coast of Belize, is a four-acre private-island resort with only five villas and one over-water bungalow. Each private villa has its own covered deck and freshwater plunge pool, in addition to its own pier and chaise lounges. But my favorite amenity? The spectacular views of the turquoise waters. Just seeing the photographs make me happy. And that's good. Thanks, Internet. :)
Sweet dreams are made of these! My favorite article in the May issue of Coastal Living was Bring Home the Beach. It featured this gorgeous beach home in South Carolina designed by Carter Kay, and photographed so beautifully by J. Savage Gibson. I don't even know what image is my favorite, I love them all to pieces. I'll tell you what though, staring at that first one really takes you away, doesn't it?? For these images and so many more, head to MyHomeIdeas! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whether you're by the beach or not!

Last week Mona of the Providence Ltd. Design Blog had a sneak peek of the June issue of At Home in Arkansas magazine. She shared images from an amazing villa with a view of Lake Hamilton (see it here), and then THIS stunner designed by Kevin Walsh of Bear-Hill Interiors. There's so much to love in this lake-front home...that top bedroom painted Sherwin Williams Spa, that amazing chandelier, the TDF wallpapered foyer! Love it all! The magazine now has all the images and the accompanying article up, so check out more here!

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! What better way to start off the new week than with this magnificent kitchen. Laura of Bright, Bold and Beautiful shared one of these images on her blog, and I needed more! I discovered the space belongs to a very talented Lynn-Anne of LAKBdesign. The transformation was seriously incredible, head here for the before'n'afters. I just know her family must live in this happy space. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore "Wythe Blue"...aren't they beautiful with the pops of red and turquoise?! Those vintage lab stools that she had powdercoated red are so awesome! (And they twirl up and down...who wouldn't love that?)
After here, head over to La Dolce Vita where Paloma is sharing my fun list of "10 Things I Can't Live Without"! I don't think #1 will surprise you! ;)
