Ikat Love

I loooove the mix of fabrics and colors in this living room from Homes & Gardens. The vibrant ikat patterns are so striking. I don't know which one I like better, the fabric on the sofa or the addition of the sweet, sweet yellow on those very comfy-looking ottomans. And the pillows? I won't even go there! The archway isn't exactly my style, but I love how the shape is mirrored in the tables. The fabric...and the colors...it just doesn't get much captivating than this!!

Like Catherine, I luv ikat and suzani. What's not to luv? I'm with you on the archway - not my cup of tea but still very attractive.

Thanks Erin.

That is a seriously well-thought-out room! So basically, the opposite of every room in my house!

Wow, love this. Agreed on the archway but it is very clever how the shape is mirrored in the tables. I'd relax in that beautiful space, for sure!

Yes. Pretty indeed. My favorite element, however, is that incredible archway!

This style came from Marroko. Nice to know that in this culture the color of turquoise has a functionality - to protect the house from evil....
Have a lovely and protected day...

Although not my taste, either (too theme-y for me), I do love the prints and colors used and I can totally appreciate the theme for those who enjoy that. (There are some lovely Ikat curtains on the World Market site that I'm considering for my patio doors.)

would not make such a decoration, because it's not my style because it makes me confused spaces as many shapes and colors. But I admit its originality and beauty.

I'm in love with that arched doorway! Its so Marrakech, though it also reminds me of a variation on a Gothic arch. The Ikat is just gorgeous and I'm really liking that wall hanging or drapery with the bold border. *Sigh!* - Kimberly

I adore that archway too! It's just fabulous. And the fabrics. Not so crazy about the shape of the chairs, however.

I absolutely love Ikat too. I've got to figure out how to do this on my loom!
