Ok so I'm pretty sure that most of us wouldn't want to actually
live in this colorful Captiva Island home designed by
Diamond Baratta and featured in
Florida Design magazine with photography by
Brantley Photography, but you have to admit, it's soooo much fun to look at! (And I'm sure we'd all take a room here or there, no?) Such a treat for the eyes...all that fearless, vibrant color, all that
turquoise! I don't even know what I love best, maybe the kitchen with the funky pendants and turquoise backsplash. Or the family room with that fabulous “paisley gone wild” carpet. Or the loggia filled with turquoise cushions and the insane view of the Gulf of Mexico. Ok so maybe I
would want to live here. If you're digging this scene, you have to check out
this post I did last year on Diamond Baratta, and also their portfolio
here! Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!

Wow! A bit much for me, but so cool to look at!
so pretty!
ahhh...feels like vacation! my master bedroom is about the same color as the second image.. printing that off so I can add the right "pops" of accent colour!
thanks for sharing!
LOL, it's hilarious and fun!
My eyes...wow. But fun and extremely creative with amazing color. I think it would be a hard place to live in, though great for inspiration.

Gorgeous lighting fixtures, they're all so unique!
I love the kitchen and its view!
The pendants in the kitchen are AMAZING. Super fun photos. I think I'm going to go change into my magenta floral moo moo for the day after seeing these!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the kitchen!!! Fabulous!!!!
I had the same thought as you, Erin. It is so beautiful, but does it seem comfortable and would I like living there. How about a 2-week vacation there - that would work.
wow! such a clever space. love it! xo
The kitchen is yummy! :-)
It may not be something I could live it, but it sure looks like a fun place to visit or have a party. It is well-executed and shows some vibrant personality. Enjoy the weekend.
It is a bit much, but I wouldn't mind staying for awhile and really letting all these beautiful colors and details seep in! Gorgeous post!
Ya know, if this place is on Captiva Island, I'm there! Love all of the bright colors and funky designs. So cool!
Hi-I just found you thru another blogger. Love the turquoise theme. I think the kitchen is my favorite~closely followed by the room with a view. As I was scrolling down through your blog I came across the kitchen in Key West. I used to have a kitchen almost identical to that when I lived in FLA. That was THE color of THE day back in the early 1970s and I think that might be a Rutenburg home. My bathroom also had that color cabinetry. Thanks for the memory jogger. Wow, that is a lot of turquoise! Such fun eye-candy. The outside porch/sitting area is my favorite!
Fun to look at....wow.
I am doing a little giveaway today...would love for you to stop by.
Best, Susie
Just take a few of the details - lighting and that gorgeous paisley rug - yum, yum, yum. I think you've possibly found the epidomy of turquoise, aqua, sea green etc etc LOVE!! I challenge anyone to beat this!!
That is one crazy house- I could look at these photos for hours just to take in all the amazing details here :)
Love these!
Happy weekend.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
A beautiful and blessed weekend to you

THE TILE IN THE FIRST PICTURE OF THE KITCHEN has such a "delicious" quality of it...sort of an iced-drink color! WOW.....this is the color of the decade!
HAVE A FUN WEEKEND! Anita
I love their designs, so perfect!
That kitchen! Wow. I know exactly where this home is, never would have expected the inside to look as it does. Captiva is pretty shaggy except for 1 gated community & a few still huge acreages with homes like this.

Hi Erin...my cottage living room is a shade of turquoise...light colored with a brighter trim. I LOVE that first kitchen pic!! And the porch with the beautiful blue water in the background is amazing too!!
Erin,
Another stunning room! Great job!
xx-Gina
I LOVE your blog and check it out every day :)
I would move in and won't change a thing! And that is very rare saying coming from me :)

What a flamboyant bright home - I think one would always feel in good spirits living there.
Wild!!! My heart is skipping a beat over that amazing black and gold oriental piece and the kick booty chair next to it. Genius. I would be happy to be in all that color, I think!
Love and light,
Christina
Aagh!!! So excited that you featured this home!! It's been my favorite ever since i saw it in architectural digest a while back. And yes, i WOULD like to live here! Beautiful!
Love the pendants in the kitchen. Any ideas who makes them?
ooooooooooh la la! i am loving this! the fabrics are to die for in the second photo and i LOVE that dinning room!
Hi Susan, The magazine has the pendants sourced as "Salviati, John Salibello Antiques, New York, NY"
They are entirely fabulous!!!
There are wonderful elements in each of the photos. As is, it would be fun and fanciful for a vacation. Love those kitchen pendants! And the loggia - oh my! I could just live there.
Thank you for sharing such an amazing home. I have always admired the vitality and life in the projects of Diamond Baratta Firm.

My heart just stopped looking at these! The sheer use of bold colour is so inspiring. Breathes so much life into the spaces.
