What a dreamy escape! I've shared the bedroom nook a long time ago on here, but the rest of this showcase cabin created by
Country Home for the 2007 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is just too cute! A lot of charm and function is packed into the 545 square feet, but my favorite feature is still that Scandinavian-inspired bed alcove. Ok maybe that claw-foot tub too! Oh and the blue sink with the pair of sconces designed by
Erin Adams! Read all about this home

That kitchen is just TOO cool. I love all of it!
Do you or your readers happen know where I can get stools like those? West Elm used to sell them (I bet that's where these came from) but they don't anymore.
Thanks~
Darcie
That bathroom is to die for.

I've always wanted a claw-foot tub so I could get one of those trays. Very beautiful.
i am instantaneously smitten. those wood walls ... LOVE!!
Ooh la la--me likes!
ohmigosh I love the bedroom nook so much! thanks for sharing!
@Darcie- if you're talking about the kitchen stool, you can get similar ones mostly anywhere; Pottery Barn, Pier One, Overstock.com and even WalMart. They have different tones of woods or you can buy them unfinished and paint or stain them yourself. They are called "saddle" style I believe.
I also love that alcove. It is so peaceful. I makes me want to curl up with a book. Love the elegant comfort.
Wow! So beautiful. I love it all!!!
Yum! Your correct a perfect weekend retreat.

I love that pretty Gustavian chest of drawers with the diamond pattern and canted corners. So charming and perfect for that setting...not to formal but just right.

love it. any readers have suggestions for some "purrfect" grays for bedrooms and master baths? grays look so yummy with turquoise, rainwashed, etc. but come with "undertones" which are driving me nuts --
I just love your blog. It is one of my favorites! Great job!
I could definitely move in for a month or two. :-)
Oh wow!! Anything with the word 'nook' in it has to be good, and the bedroom is gorgeous. I think the kitchen is my fave though, which is unusual for me.
Linda. x :)
I love every room, but that bedroom nook is yummy. I really want to curl up with a good book and take a long nap in that bed!!!
Turquoise is such a soft, dreamy color. Love it in any room of the house.

I just love that bath painted turquoise on the inside. Wouldn't it look amazing when you fill it with water and submerge yourself! I would feel like I'm on a tropical island.
Enjoy your weekend.

did you know that the bedroom alcove idea was originated by Thomas Jefferson and can be seen at Monticello? What a great idea and how fun to see it used in modern times.
