Matteo Thun

I've never seen such beautiful tile! The colors, the mix of patterns, totally out of this world...or at least the US! Featured in Elle Decoration, internationally renowned Italian designer Matteo Thun and his wife Susanne used a mix of designs, including some by Gio Ponti to cover the entire wall of the dining room of his home in Capri. The Murano glass chandelier is extraordinary! You guys do not want to miss the rest of the home, including some of the most amazing views ever! Head here!

I just found your blog. Thanks for introducing turquoise in such a great way. It's one of the colors I was never sure about, but it looks absolutely wonderful as an accent color in many different rooms. It reminds me of summer.

Anonymous said...: It has to be a mistake. I have some of these tiles all over my house and those tiles are called Talavera and are made in Mexico. Probably they mixed some of there designes with the Talavera.; July 22, 2010 at 7:45 PM

I've been thinking of using Talavera or Moroccan type tiles on my condo living room's fireplace mantel or the surround (it's currently a plain white surround), but I've never seen anyone use so many tiles for a whole wall - wow.; July 22, 2010 at 10:15 PM
