Another Dreamy Sleeping Nook

Talk about a lucky girl! Thanks to Sweet Home Style, I didn't miss seeing this adorable space that Apartment Therapy featured belonging to Mary, who is now a freshman in college. When she was young she never wanted to sleep in her own bed. As a solution, her mom and aunt decided to build her this special little sleeping nook for her 8th birthday. Even though the room has a childish feel, she says she never grew out of it. Understandably Mary was recently devastated to learn her parents were selling her childhood home, but was comforted knowing that the family moving in had two little girls who were mesmerized by the beautiful and cozy room. I don't blame them...it's truly mesmerizing, isn't it? Love those floors and ceiling too!

Hi Erin! I just stumbled upon your blog and I also LOVE turquoise and all the shades of that color. I think that this room and nook area is so cozy and girly. I am sure that the new owners will have so much fun in there, plus the checkered flooring really compliments this room. Thanks for sharing and look forward to your posts!

I've decided I want a King Sized sleeping nook just like this one. The doors will come in handy with a 2 year old and a 4 year old running around ;)

Heck, I'm 21 and I'd sleep in there NOW! Granted, I live in Brooklyn and my bedroom is (seriously) not much bigger than that nook, so perhaps it's that cozy, enclosed feeling I'm used to! Awesome find!

Oh! Is that not a dream come true! I loved that boxed-in feeling for a reading/sleeping nook...and in turquoise, to boot!

LOVELY AS EVER, ERIN! Anita
