Rainwashed Again!

I'm so not alone in my love for Rainwashed by Sherwin Williams. Two readers/fellow bloggers recently completed amazing transformations in their homes using this beautiful shade. First off, Renee of Modus Operandi Designs just finished remodeling her kitchen. I love how functional and stylish it is! She said she wanted a contemporary farmhouse kitchen, and I say that's exactly what she got! Next, the lovely Emily of Decor Chick and her beautiful master bedroom. Before it was ocean of beige, now (just $170 later!! for real?!) it's a peaceful space full of life! Check out their great blogs for more images, including before-n'afters!

That kitchen is absolutely GORGEOUS! I wouldn't have known the color was Rainwashed but it doesn't matter - the kitchen is......well WOW! Renee did a stellar job! We are renovating our little farmhouse-shack kitchen and I am using hers as divine inspiration.

Great color! I've used it in my home, too...love it at half strength or in between Rainwashed and the color above it (forgetting the name of that one). Isn't paint fun? -Linsey

I've seen so many pictures of Rainwashed on your blog, that I recently went to my local Sherwin Williams to check it out in real life. I was surprised to see it paired with greys and blacks, and not even in the blue category?!?! How does it show up so blue/green on walls? I would love to try it, but I'm afraid it's going to be too grey/dreary. What do you think?

hi! i recently read your previous post on the color rainwashed. it is now in my laundry room and guest bath. it could be all over my house! LOVE it! i'll send some pics when it's completed (just moved in!) love love your blog!!

SilverLining, I've seen it used in so many rooms and it's never looked dreary or gray. I thought the same thing about Palladian Blue's chip, but it just doesn't look that way painted. So I say go for it! I haven't heard of one person disappointed yet!

I so hope someone responds to this. I am wondering if there are rules about painting every room Rainwashed? I am soooo in love with it and have always wanted that color in my kitchen -- but now I want it in my bedroom too! Is that tacky? or should I go for it?

Erin said...

Hi Erin! Honestly I say go for it. I'm not a designer, so I don't know any official rules, but two rooms is not bad at all. Plus, the cool thing about Rainwashed is that it looks different in different rooms/different light. So you could walk into your kitchen, then go in the bedroom, and it wouldn't even look the same!
