One of my dreams has always been to live in a loft just like this! When I spotted it on
Desire to Inspire, all dolled up in my colors, it was a total "moment" between my monitor and me. Turns out this is a unit in
The Stacks, a used-to-be textile mill in Atlanta. Back in January, they held a contest for local interior design students to create a livable design to showcase to the public. The students were given a $5,000 budget, as well as a client profile of a 33-year-old clothing boutique owner and her boyfriend.
SCAD student Christine Hudson was the winner, and her design was implemented as a model unit that is now on display and available for purchase. What a cool contest, and very talented winner! To see lots more images of the space, head

Our jaws are on the floor. We can't stop staring (swooning). Our palms are sweaty and our heartbeats have quickened. We have officially fallen in love with an old textile mill.
OH MY GOODNESS! That first image is simply jaw droppingly good! I just keep staring at it. Those ceilings are amazing. Thanks so much for posting.
Wow that is beautiful! I also love the windows. The whole space makes me dream... it looks so serene, it would be my special hidaway spot. I want one!
Wow, I love it!!! Great color scheme and love the beautiful glass "mobile" above the dining room table.

I was thinking as I saw these photos..."hmmm, reminds me of the apartment in 'Ghost'..which oddly enough was (or was supposed to be) an old textile mill. Great place!! LOve that Pottery Barn coffee table!!
it looks so very lovely but OMG that glas lantern decoration! that's my newest obsession!!
I recently found your blog while researching looks for my office. Your blog is so refreshing! I love visiting. My office is almost done, I will try to send pics. Of course, turquoise plays a big part - thanks to you.
I missed this original post on Desire to Inspire. I'm glad you posted it- it's one of my favs so far! Boy, Atlanta has come a long way since I lived there in the 70s and 80s.
Awesome! Apparently I need to move to Atlanta!
I LOVE the photos on your blog! I don't even remember how I happened upon this, but plan to visit often. I love the cabana photo on another of your posts. I think it's my favorite.
now THAT is gorg, i love it. heaps!
This is the perfect color of turquoise. Do you happen to know the paint color? I'm moving into a small condo and this would be great for an accent wall.

Do you know the best part about that cute little chair?? It's totally accessible! You can get it at Target, for only $299! It's called the Gerber upholstered chair in surf. Yummy!

Ditto on the turquoise wall paint color -- if anyone can find the name please post it! I'm looking for a good teal/turquoise paint for my black and white tile bathroom!
