Jamie Drake

Can you tell that Jamie Drake designed this incredible foyer featured in Connecticut Cottage and Gardens? It's so full of energy and vibrant color, I wasn't surprised at all. I think my two favorite features are the gorgeous grasscloth wallcovering from Phillip Jeffries and the striped stair runner by Tai Ping that you can barely see in the corner. Turquoise and yellow...I can never get enough!

oh yes! I LOVE that grasscloth on the walls. The color is low key, but the texture is great. :)

Jamie Drake is one of my very favourite designers :-) He's a colour genius!! And a really nice guy too :-)

Love the combination of the turquoise grasscloth with the white trim and wainscoting.

Don't you love how the different shades of turquoise work together in the space? I have grasscloth in different places in my studio, and I love how it goes with everything. The new colors they are coming out with just enhance our abilities to design with them.
Jamie is amazing, isn't he, and I love that he is bold with color...my kind of guy!

I'm about to humiliate myself:

I was watching "Good Luck Charlie" on Disney last night... the humiliating part - I'm a grown woman with adult children and I love Disney sitcoms as much as I love HGTV, lol ! But, I digress.... the house in the show had splashes of turquoise everywhere from the couch, to the steps to the painted furniture. It was adorable and I thought immediately of this blog !

The color is growing on me...... I wonder how a few splashes would look in the House on Lavender Hill ?

Love the blog !
