Dear World, You're Pretty
Pretty much the entire time I was putting this post together, I had the Jim White song "Turquoise House" stuck in my head. (Wish I knew a way of having it automatically play while you scroll down the homes...that would make this much more fun.) I know so many of you love turquoise as much as I do...so I'm dying to know if the outside of your house features our favorite color?? If not, would you ever consider painting it, even just part of it, turquoise?

I would love to paint my front door robins-egg blue :-)
What a great collection of beautiful, unusual, interesting homes! Although I love the colour, I don't think I would paint any part of our house turquoise, not even the front door. Maybe if I lived in the country, I would.
Love these! Great finds!
If we owned this house, I would totally paint my shutters turquoise! I would do the house a really brisk white, turquoise shutters and a red door. Don't you think?
I LOVE that first beach house. So pretty.
These are just gorgeous!!!
My parent's have a dark blue door but other than that, there's no turquoise on the exterior of anywhere I live. I love it though. If I had the right house, I would paint it turquoise - like a grand Victorian or a quirky bungalow!
I really love the third image down of the brick house with the turquoise windows and the next two houses following that are so adorable! I love the turquoise with green accents.
They are so beautiful!!!!! :) Love them.... susnhine all the way!!!
I could live in any of those houses. I have to tell you, I've been reading your blog for about a year....and I know every time I open your blog, my eyes will be filled with delicious rooms I adore. I love turquoise and have it in my house. I have several pieces of furniture that are painted that color. I love it. Thanks for putting together one of the very best blogs out there.

Beautiful! Amazing! I´m from Argentina and I love your blog...
I would absolutely paint a house turquoise! Not too long ago, you featured pics of turquoise and gray. One of the pics was an exterior, and I saved it to my "inspiration file." Right now I live in a condo, so I don't have the freedom to make changes to the exterior, but if I ever live in a house again, I'm seriously going to convince my hubby that it needs to be painted turquoise and gray!!
Love the beach house at dawn. Breathtaking!!

I tried to pick a favorite, but I just couldn't! Love all these little getaways!
Love, love all of these houses! Do I spy a photo of one of my favorite houses on Lake of the Isles take by you? I rollerblade around that lake with my husband after work all summer, and that cozy little house always catches my eye. ;)
My dream home? a little turquoise house on the beach!
xoxo Laura
My grandmother has a house off of PR and it is always so much fun seeing the different colored houses, including turquoise ones all over the island!
beautiful! that color is so tailor-made for warm, sunny, quaint locations! where is the house you found? love those aqua shutters! and turquoise is totally on my mind for next year's house build ... i've already picked out "hillside view" for the front door and "pine of norway" (both ben moore colors) for the porch floor or ceiling. just need to decide if the house itself will be pale dove gray or white ... wanna come over and help me decide when the time comes? ;o)
dear erin!!!this is a party for our eyes!!!!que lindas casas!!!!!!!!!!!!beautifulllllll!!! a big kiss and have a beautifull wekend!!!!!!!
What a fun collection of turquoise houses! Love them.
I am contemplating painting my shutters (on a yellow house) some shade of turquoise to teal. A couple of these pictures made me think about it again.
Have a great weekend,
Donna
Erin, this is all eye candy. I could not decide which one I liked the best. I have an all-brick house but would totally paint my window trims and front door our color. In fact, I want to paint the front door this summer. Deciding on which turquoise will be so hard! I have a Tiffany & Co. jewelry box I thought I'd have matched for color.
Thanks and have a delicious weekend.
I would so paint my house cottage turquoise (if only I had one) but I'm thinking I could paint my townhouse door turquoise, that would be fun!
We have a small beach house in Ormond by the Sea, florida that I painted Barely Teal, Benjamin Moore Paint. The Shutters, doors & garage door are painted Saphaire 4, laura ashley. http://www.flickr.com/photos/26331259@N06/sets/72157606771153163/ Our house in Arlington, Tn is still white on the outside, but the living room & bedroom upstairs are barely teal. The kitchen island we are in the process of completing is new spruce, Maine cottage paint. As you can see turquoise is certainly a favorite. By the way the beach house in Ormond by the Sea, Florida is available for rent. Always enjoy your blog & have it as a favorite on my blog.
Beautiful post! There is a home in our neighbourhood with turquoise trim, I should take a pic and send it to you, it is quite cute :)
You are too much Erin. Cute post. Now I'm off to find this song!
Yes, I have plum shutters and am considering a turquoise door on the beach cottage. What do you think? yes? I thought so! xo
It's funny. Some of those images I love and cannot imagine having those houses painted any other color... but, I just cannot stand some of the others. I think a lot depends on the style of the house. The more modern style house (from the 70's and on) just look out of place with the turquoise, but some of those period houses just look fabulous!
The white house with blue shutters - my idea of heaven!
Wow, Erin! I started searching for some robin's egg blue things for a blog post, found your blog and fell down a rabbit hole of delight for several hours! Love it all.

Ps. I have an ongoing jewelry contest on my blog. Welcome! Ds
I love turquoise too. I use aqua alot in my house. My husband wasn't okay with painting the outside aqua or turquoise. He is probably right. I am not sure my house could pull it off. enjoyed your blog!
one day when i have a house of my own I will DEFINITELY paint it turquoise... or at least the shutters or the door- which would be so lovely! I'm in love with ALL of these houses they're beautiful!
I love these Erin! My husband and I did paint a house turquoise! When we bought the house it was pretty blah and in need of head to toe renovation. The house was in a trendy neighborhood, and it had a beach cottage vibe hidden beneath all of the brown boringness, so we went bright. It turned out so cute! I'll send you some pics of it this week. I don't know why I never thought to do so before ;)
Oh, I adore that first image!! It would make such a great little studio!
Erin,
What a fantastic post!! I really enjoyed looking at all of the facades, street scenes, windows and doors!
Love it,
Karen :)
What a great series of homes the world over... wishin' I didn't live in an HOA... so I could get in on the turq painting action!
awesome collection of blue houses. i could totally rock a turquoise house!
My grandmother's vacation home on the Chesapeake Bay (built in the 1950's of course) was still turquoise when I was a kid. I was sad to see it go gray in the 1990's but they did keep the living room walls turquoise to tie in with the shag carpet and black and white sofa. Sounds horrible I know, but my grandmother was waaay ahead of her time. If the carpet wasn't so worn out and full of sand, we would have kept it in the renovation. Unfortunately the house will probably never be painted turquoise again!
My favorite is number eleven. They all are great, but that one speaks to me...
oh my GOSH i love these houses!
i just redesigned my blog around turquoise. if only i had my own house so i could turquoise-ify it like this!
I love them all, but prefer the bungalow types. We have turquoise walls in our home and I find them calm and relaxing.
