If there is one color combo that's growing on me like no other, it's definitely turquoise and gray. There's just something so chic and sophisticated (and guy friendly!) about it that I can't resist. And it's so easy to just throw in a punch of pink or yellow to make it that much more fun! What do you guys think? You digging this combo as much as I am?
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Let's keep the snow away, ok?!

Most definately! Gray is one of my favorite colors mostly b/c it combines well with so many other colors. Love these pictures!
Hadn't thought of this color combo, but it works! P.S. your lovely blog was a major inspiration this week working with a client who loves TURQUOISE!
You have a serious talent for combining images, this would have taken my 3 hours to pull together! Nice work. That painted double doorway is fantastic!
This post just made my day! This is my bedroom color combo, with gray being the predominant color (I have these incredible Richard Fischer silk charmeuse duvet cover/cases in a soft gunmetal).
That second photo, with the duck-egg blue, is an incredible melange of blue and gray tones.
Thanks for the lift! Have a great weekend!

VERY Inspirational... especially since I'm working on our dining room: accent wall now converted to turq, with other walls already grey.

I love so many of these...its hard to pick my fave. The trim on the house, the fireplace, the bed, the dining room. I love it!
P.S. Did you build your igloo yet? :)
Gray and turq is not a combination I had thought of but wow, I really like it. Especially the next to the last bedroom photo. The carpet is fabulous.
Erin, did you catch the short article in Thursday's NYTimes Home section on our color?
Have a great weekend.
LOVE this color combo.
I'm wondering whether I've been asleep or something. Never noticed this combination before - it is fabulous!
These are the colors of my bedroom. I am working on the gray walls @ the moment. I think you will love this room

that I used as inspiration. It's straight turquoise & gray!
Erin, I truthfully had not noticed gray and turqouise combos before, The combination is so soothing to the eye, Wonderful post , as always, Kathysue
Day after day I stop by for a visit and try to think of something a little more clever to say than, Wow, or dreamy or beautiful... As always, words just escape me. Sigh.
Herself- This is the same problem I have when I write my posts! How many ways can I say "I LOVE this!" lol I do appreciate your comments though, they are the highlight of blogging!
A turquoise motorcycle? can I have one? :)
Yes I LOVE this combo. My living room/all purpose room is painted Turquoise (BM Arctic Blue to be specific) and I'm about to paint the cabinets light gray. Thank you for helping me confirm my decision! Love your blog!
I absolutely love that blue lucite table in the first picture!
Ok, the room with the turquoise motorcycle is fantastic. So, not practical--but a stroke of genius, visually!
Who parks a bike in the middle of their living room? That is my new fav pic.
Wow, beautiful rooms. Love the living room in the first photo! The sofa and throw pillows are perfect.

I painted my dining room a gray/blue and it is the best color I could have ever chosen - I really think I'm hooked now. I can't wait to paint and shop! Thank you for all the inspiration ~

Amazing color combination! Thanks for sharing!
Ah! My two absolute FAVORITE colors! This is your best post yet :) I love everything here, especially the 2nd pic!
OK-- that second pic-- the bedroom-- I'm stealing all of the colors and mix of finishes for my dining room. It's SO pretty!
great color palette. It's coolness is so soothing. It reminds me of winter in paris.
another great color combo!
Love these combination's of colors ..so what i love especially the first picures...divine xx
Yes! Definitely Turquoise and gray! As a lover of gray, I think it is a beautiful calming combination. It would be fun to throw a splash of yellow or orange!
Love the transition from blue/ brown to the grey. It's soft and not so " everyone's doing it " Great collection!
Thanks for all these gorgeous images for inspiration... I am picking out paint colors today for the addition... yikes! So many to choose from :)
xoxo Laura
Those two colors are great together. I love the picture of the front of the townhome. It is bold and so pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Totally agree Erin, grey and turquoise looks fabulous!
I've saved some of these same images in my "inspiring" blog file, but many of them I haven't seen. LOVE the pillows in that first living room. Also haven't thought much about the gray and turquoise color combination, but I'm liking it now for sure!
I absolutely love these photos. I too am in love with gray right now. We recently built a home and used sandy hook gray in most of the rooms. Lighter in some rooms, darker in others. The other rooms are silver mist, rainwater and oyster bay. They all blend well with the gray. Love soothing cool tones.
I love turquoise and I love gray...what a perfect combination! These images are so beautiful.
Gorgeous inspiration!!!
HAve a lovlely sunday

How gorgeous! I love the contrast between the cool gray and vibrant turquoise. Very beautiful and inspiring pics!
Have a great week! Lisa
LOVE that bright blue chair in front of the (gasp) yellow wallpaper (I just posted how I wasn't the biggest fan of yellow but I LOVE it here!) Also, huge fan of large photos in decor!
Wow, thanks for sharing. I have a post on the color turqoise on my blog today. Please take a look here:

This is new combo for me and you're so right about how it takes the turquoise to a very sophisticated level, keeping things cool and calming. Personally, I like my rooms warmer, but then I'm not really very sophisticated - lol!
So many beautiful images- with so many stand out details.
Still, their are a few that make me gasp out loud
a. the first bedroom's color and roman blinds
b.the H&G fabric covered head and foot board
c.all the bird images- the geese painting, the framed prints, and most of all the whimsical bird mural on the gray wall behind the fabu dresser.
Love this post....would also love your thoughts (with your expertise in the blue family) on which blue to paint my dining room. Thanks...www.allthisandmore.typepad.com
Hi Erin~
You found some excellent examples of showing off this color combo.
It can be very difficult to accomplish, but the pictures prove it can be done with style.
Donna

Hugs,

These are over the top funky, cool, spectacular! Your so much fun...I love your blog
Great images. I love turquoise with deep rich pink or pumpkin (or all three together). It's such a great color! My daughter's 4th party is the end of the and I'm doing a "tiara's and tutu's" party using turquoise as the main color.
Love it - works so well together.
If you've had enough snow, send it my way would you? Third day in the row pushing 40 degree Chere, i'm so ready for winter!
jules :)
yes!!! so many gorgeous images erin!!! (we need that book!!! :)
xoxo
ps- I really think ppl would buy it!! i would!!
I have been floundering between a white/bone color on my living room walls or a blue. After seeing the Boston Globe photos of the living room, I am going for the blue! Thanks for helping...
what a wonderful color combo! I ADORE the little nook in the Oliveaux photo as well as the Coastal Living twin bedroom. And that blue dresser in front of the chalkboard wall with the birdies?? Well, I seriously want to copy that idea somewhere...
thanks for always inspiring!
LOVE. We're trying to choose a scheme for our kitchen remodel and I want gray cabinets, but can't decide if the floor should be turquoise or the walls. Wife is not convinced, but this post may push her over! :D
Really great color combo :)
These pictures are just beautiful! I just want to step into the picture and steal it! I love the white pictures with the little accents of blue, as in the pillows or pictures!
love,

Ive been stalking your blog for awhile now but I just wanted to leave a little note to tell you how much I love your blog and every post is such a treat. Thank you so much!
Oh my! Who would've thought to use a motorcycle as a design element! Super cool :)
I have to agree. You choose an interesting colour palette. The combination of cool grey and vibrant turquoise feels so luxurious. Everything is so bright and clean. This post shows us, that the combination of these colours is usable for every room. The interior is not only about big colourful furniture. It is about small delicious accessories, which make the detail. I like the turquoise cushions, they put the life into this rooms. But the most interesting idea is the interior with those yellow walls. Grey and turquoise can be for someone to cool, so the yellow walls can turn this place into more friendly and warm one. Thank you for sharing, it is really inspiring for all of us.
Best regards,
Elli
Indeed! How lovely to see that there are other people who love turquoise and especially turquoise and gray together.
I just moved into a 1940s cottage, it is full of built ins in the livingroom that are painted white. I painted the walls a bold gray with one wall turquoise, this is the accent wall with the fireplace. There are small windows on each side of the fireplace and one large picture window. What color decor would you suggest. Would it be too much turquoise if i used a bold rug.? Thxs.. im in love with turquoise. Im thinking about painting my dining table and chairs
