I was so happy to learn about In My House by way of Absolutely Beautiful Things. These are images from one of Catherine's newly renovated beach cottages. I spy my Ikea four-poster bed (well, WILL be mine...!) Now how about that kitchen. The stainless steel is such a fun, unexpected pairing with the aqua and white. So cool!! beautiful!! we're in the process of planning a house with a builder, and the rep thought i was insane when i said i wanted a stainless island, not granite. apparently, i'm supposed to want granite, lots of khaki, and maple cabinets. uh, no. this photo just reinforces me to stick to my guns!!! lol

I see my bed! Never thought I'd see something I actually own on this website lol. Everything's always so luxurious and fancy.
PS. The bed doesn't seem strong at Ikea, but when you assemble it yourself, it's really sturdy.
