First off, any post with this much Designer Guild is surely a feast for the eyes, but every single one of these beds is 100% scrumptious! The patterns, the colors...part sassy, part glamorous...truly a bedroom centerpiece if I ever saw one! For even more turquoise upholstered beds, check out this post I did back in September. And with that, Happy Friday everyone...have a great weekend! :)

Do you watch the TV show Mad Men? It takes place in the '60s, and during the scenes that take place in Don and Betty's bedroom, I can't take my eyes off the turquoise upholstered headboard!

I found a link that has a pic -- http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/chicago/beds-mattresses/high-and-low-mad-men-don-bettys-bed-057298

if the link isn't live, you can cut and paste it into your browser window to take a look.

Wowza...what brilliant beds.
I'm coveting #'s 2 and 6.
Scrumptious!!
I bought yards and yards of turquoise damask fabric at the Rosebowl Flea Market over 10 years ago and it's been packed away in my attic ever since! You've inspired me to pull it out use it somewhere! Thanks for the inspirational photos :)
Happy Weekend!

I love the look of upholstered headboards, and these are all gorgeous. I read that they're not great for people with allergies--otherwise, I'd get one in a heartbeat!

My favorite is the third one -- with the modern print. It reminds me of a print Jonathan Adler would use. Very cool.

And I'm so impressed you found so many great examples.

That first photo makes my heart flutter.

I didn't know upholstered beds weren't good for people with allergies, Julia. It makes sense.

Ooooooh, these are all gorgeous!

Hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'm especially drawn to the FOURTH photo, what with the feminine curving lines of the headboard and footboard, and the swell little mirrored table to one side, and all that yummy turquoise, of course.

These photos are making me wonder why in the world I bought so much dark brown furniture when I moved -- though I do have a very colorful bedspread in the bedroom, and colorful art in the living room and the hall entryway :)

But if I had it to do over, I think I'd insert a lot more color in the furnishings. In the meantime, I'll continue to feast on the wonderful eye candy on House of Turquoise :)

Love these headboards! I found some awesome turquoise fabric locally, I wonder if something like this (without tufting) would be a difficult DIY project?
