Coastal Calm

I love the relaxed, summer vibe going on in this room I found on Brabourne Farm. Love those white slipcovers and painted floor! And what a pretty painting. Lately I've been dreaming of a coastal vacation. I think it needs to happen pretty soon! The below-zero temps in Minneapolis are starting to get to me!

White linen slipcovers are just the greatest thing known to man. It makes me feel all Great Gatsby, for some reason, only, you know, without the adultery and murder and all that fun stuff.

Unpretentious and lovely - I really like it. Your blog is inspiring me to get back to the colours I have always loved whilst decorating my renovator :-)

love the title of your post. When I can't sleep I always turn to my coastal playlist of waves. I like the gold frame with the waves. happy new year Erin! Hope you are surviving the 50 inches of snow I've heard MN has had. Sensing some sunshine your way.

It's even ridiculously cold for Columbia, SC! Yikes. The warm beach would be nice right now.

Calm and serene. It's beautiful.

I hope you don't mind, but I made mention of your blog today on mine. There was a turquoise bathroom that reminded me so much of your posts!!

Have a great day!

Does anybody know how hard it is to paint a floor? I have ancient parquet (actually about 50 year old floors) that I would rather paint than refinish.

I share your love of turquoise. It is the predominant color in my home and office. Surprising and pleasing to find a turquoise soul mate :>) Francine
