Room For Color

One of my favorite things about the fall is Apartment Therapy's annual Room For Color contest. I was so excited when I heard the lovely Kelly of Color Sizzle and Porter House Designs had her home office selected to be in the contest. Don't you all love the lilac, aqua and brown color scheme she uses?? I never think of the ceiling as a blank canvas, but I absolutely adore the look of it painted aqua here. Head over to AT to learn all about this room, and to vote for Kelly (it's quick and easy!)....have to hurry though because voting ends at approximately 3:00 pm EST on Saturday, October 17! Have a color-filled fall weekend everyone!

Paul Joseph Hopper

How yummy are these images styled by the talented Paul Joseph Hopper and photographed by John Paul Urizar. So much color and texture, you guys have to check out their sites because there is so much more eye candy to be had!

I also want to send a big thank you to Leslie over at HGTV's Design Happens blog for doing such a nice write-up on House of Turquoise yesterday. It was such an honor to have my blog chosen as their Blog of the Week! Another thank you needs to go to Sidney over at Eclectic Interior Design Group for selecting House of Turquoise as "Most Photogenic" in her Design Blog Superlatives list! Talk about a great day!

Linden Hills Kitchen

Dream kitchen alert! I'm loving this kitchen designed by Minneapolis-based Albertsson Hansen Architecture. Of course we all agree the tile is completely and utterly fab. But the remodeling of this bungalow home by the husband-and-wife architects included turning the 1970's turret on the back of the house into an impressive semi-octagonal seating bay. Definitely a place I could see myself sipping my morning juice!

Heaven in Cape Cod

Is this bedroom a little slice of heaven or what?! I found it on Willow Decor, and you must stop over there to check out the rest of this Cape Cod stunner designed by Catalano Architects. So much blue and white I could cry!

Anastassios Mentis

These pretty images were all taken by photographer Anastassios Mentis, who I learned about through The Green Door. I am drooling over the lighting fixtures in that beautiful kitchen. The shades of blue in the 2nd image are nothing short of heavenly. And those chairs in the last pic?! Wow!
