HGTV Green Home 2009

These rooms from the HGTV Green Home 2009 truly are an oasis of calm. Interior designer Linda Woodrum was inspired by the Florida coast and how beautiful the water was. “It’s the ultimate spa retreat. The colors are directly related to the glorious water of the local beaches and this suite really takes you away. It feels peaceful and relaxed but definitely sophisticated in a wonderfully casual way.” I'd agree that is precisely what is does! What a DREAM Green home!! Check out HGTV for tons more glorious images of this home, including virtual tours and all the info you'd ever need on each room.

I wish you all the joys of spring this Easter weekend! :)

Duck-Egg Kitchens

I am really digging the duck-egg blue painted cabinetry with the cream colored walls in these two kitchens. While the second image is a pretty realistically sized kitchen for me, I can't help but dream of having a kitchen the size of the first image. Imagine all the cookies I could bake! LOVE that island! Simply Divine

I received this gorgeous photograph in an email from Laura, and neither of can figure out where it's from. Do any of you know?? I can tell you this much...I am drooling all over my keyboard. This canopy bed is to-die-for.

Edit: Many thanks to Julie T for finding the source! This bedroom was featured in Blueprint magazine, Fall 2006, Issue No. 2. But you can see images of the rest of the beautiful home on Martha's site here!

Tracey Rapisardi

As much as I love modern, vibrant homes, I cannot help but adore cottage chic homes full of pretty pastels. Designer, stylist and retail store owner Tracey Rapisardi is surely an inspiration when it comes to beach style and cottage living. Check out this post I put together last October for even more beautiful rooms designed by Tracey. Images via Coastal Living.

Basement Blues

On Friday, Rachel of Hue posted a slew of fantastic before-and-after images of basements. They were all very inspirational, but this "after" was my favorite. It's such a pretty, yet entirely functional space. Love all the colors! You must check out the before here to really appreciate the change too!
