2 Pretty Kitchens

One of my dreams in life is to have a pretty kitchen. Nothing fancy, just pretty. Every apartment I've rented always seems to have a really ugly kitchen. I swear if I could at least paint the cabinets white I'd cook more! (And oh the goodies I'd bake if I had the Martha Stewart Blue KitchenAid mixer!) To see more pretty kitchens, pop on over to Harper & Henny and Dream in Domestic where I found these lovelies!

One of the key ingredients to a pretty kitchen, for me, is light - lots and lots of natural light, which these two have. I've had kitchens that had no windows - and who wants to cook there? A wall of windows please, and tons and tons of counter space:)

Very pretty indeed! I'm loving the ocean colored subway tile in number two and the mullioned, frosted cabinet doors. And I agree with Mary Beth - the more natural light the better!

What lovely inspiration! I am still dying to paint my cabinets white and repaint everything, for that matter, and you've given me some perfect ideas. Thanks, Erin!!

You find the most beautiful kitchens Erin, I also just looked at your "inspirational kitchens" post, gorgeous, light and airy. We are finally going to tackle our mess of a kitchen next year and all I know at this stage is that it is going to be white and there is going to be glass, thank you for all the inspiration :-). Kathy.

Agreed. The ocean colored subway tile is a nice change from the white. Cool and calm without being sterile.

So pretty. I don't think I will ever tire of an all white kitchen with pops of color!

All of those lighting fixtures are calling my name as well. I'm looking for two small pendants for my kitchen as a finishing touch!

Totally agree...there is nothing more frustrating than having all this creative energy wanting to burst out ..and you cant because its not your own home...a dilemma I have at the moment..oh if only I could paint the walls...mount a few shelves ...change the blinds...and so on and so on and so on : /
P.S Love the subway tiles in the second image...stunning! x
