Sarah Richardson

I was beyond delighted to spot an image of this dining room on BabyCheri Style, as I'd seen the room before in the portfolio of photographer Stacey Brandford (and wrote about it last year, but you know how it is when you see more of a room you love!!). The room was designed by Toronto based interior designer Sarah Richardson. (You must check out her site, it's a ton of fun to go through!) I like the description of the room off her portfolio: A study in neutral backdrops brought to life with bold injections of bright shades drawn from the surrounding ocean views. It's formal yet family friendly, elegant yet easygoing, and fashionable at every turn.

I also need to add a great big thank you to Christina over at Down And Out Chic for spotlighting House of Turquoise yesterday. It was such a pleasure to be interviewed for her fab blog! I'm super excited to have some new readers too!

Hi, I LOVE your blog and am so glad to have the subscription so I have one of your posts to read amidst the more humdrum emails in my inbox!

What a treat to see you feature a home decorated by Sarah Richardson! If I had a blog it might well be "Obsessed with Sarah Richardson." I just love everything that she does and watch and TIVO and rewatch all of her wonderful shows. I even tried to get my husband to vacation in Canada this summer so I could shop at her favorite stores and buy some of her furniture line. We need to make her more popular in the US since as of the last time I checked they would not ship pieces from her line to the US.

Soooo.....I great big thanks for photos of a room that I had not seen before and for all of the fabulous posts you do on all things turquoise.

I'm such a huge fan of Sarah Richardson. Her show "Sarah's House" is really good (FLN, I think). Great pictures, so color rich. xoxo

Somehow I just found your blog. I'm shocked it has taken me so long! I, too, have a slight obsession with turquoise and teal :)

Saludos Erin, I´ve been looking to your blog for a while now, since I´ve changed magazines for online decoration, and your blog is incredible amazing, all of them...
In may house I don´t think I have something turquoise, though I love that color.
I´m from Chile, southamerica, and perhaps you would like to have a look at my recently opened blog about my house mostly. (excuse my english)
Congratulations for your wonderful blogs

OH MY GAAAWWWWSSSHHHHH!!! SHREEEEK!! *Jumping up and down and waving hands wildly* I ABSOTIVELY POSOLUTELY CAN NOT BELIEVE I FOUND ANOTHER BLOGGER INSANE ABOUT TURQUOISE!!!!! When I was just learning to talk, and people asked my favorite color, most kids said "red" "blue" maybe "pink"...but I said "turquoise" and it cracked people up every time! I'm laying on my turquoise handpainted duvet cover on my bed, complete with shams and at one point my husband said if I bought one more turquoise thing in the closet he doesn't know what he'd do. I told him that turquoise went out of style for so many years, the closest thing I could find was a green-teal, that I am stocking up in case it goes out of style again. I was born in 1960, in the center of the turquoise era, which also had something to do with the age of Aquarius, and I am Aquarius. Notice the word "Aqua" in there? I WAS BORN to love Aqua-turquoise! What is weird though, is that I don't like the stone called Turquoise. I like clear semi-precious stones that are turquoise colored, but not real turquoise. OH I AM SO TICKLED you blogged on this! I will be your biggest fan! I have a few blogs. You might like this other blog better than my main one, at http:kindaretro.blogspot.com .
Keep up the good work!
Blessings,
Sheila
