Pretty pretty pretty!! Atlanta designer Mimi Williams wanted to have a "beach girl" vibe in this landlocked house, as the owner of the house spent her summers as a child at the beach on Tybee Island where she developed a love of the beach and various shades of turquoise. (I wish I had that excuse!) I love those turquoise leather neoclassical side chairs and all the sea-colored pottery. You can read about this home in Traditional Home, and see more of Mimi's work and shop through her nice selection of antiques here.

I agree - the leather chairs are my favorite! I also really love that glass lamp in the second photo!
Love it!
pretty, unexpectedly beachy. I love the turquoise lamp.
Oh yeah... now this is gorgeous!
I. Love. It!
I'm going to buy some turquoise wall paint in the autumn ...
Is so beautiful, I love the fireplace!!!
I love the fireplace! The color on the walls is perfection.
the combo of sea foam and aqua is soooo pretty.
Absolutely lovely!!!! Ah....
So pretty! Beachy yet very elegant. Checked out her portfolio and she has some great rooms!
Oh so serene!
The windows and built-ins in this room are amazing. Being in a 50's ranch now, I miss my fireplaces with flanking built-ins bookcases. We've had to build them back in two houses where they had been torn out. The dumb things people do during renovation in the name of "progress" and "modernity".
lovely lovely lovely
what beautiful chairs in the first pic...
i love the white sofas and the variety of pillow designs!!!
It is sooo pretty! Love the paint color & built-ins :)
Such a pretty room with cool colors. Love her style and your turquoise blog Erin! I've added you to my blogroll.

I was reading your blog for design ideas and came across this entry and was shocked because this is my aunts’ house. I am actually staying with her right now. This is one of my favorite rooms in the house. I will have to show her your blog tonight. She will be very flattered.
Leslie,
I can't believe this is you aunt's house!! That's fantastic! This room is BEAUTIFUL and I loved the story on it in Southern Living! Thanks so much for commenting and letting me know you're staying there as I type! So cool! :)
Nice blog…. It isn't easy to choosing that perfect Living Room Furniture. It needs to be ergonomically viable and superior when it comes to comfort.
