On Friday Freckles Chick published a fantastic post full of beautiful canopy beds. I LOVE canopy beds, so I thought it was a delicious post! This striking room above was part of her collection, and was also posted last month by High-Heeled Foot in the Door who had recently discovered the designer Kim Coleman. So now you must hop over to visit Freckles Chick to see lots more canopy beds, and High-Heeled Foot in the Door to see the rest of this South Hampton home!

In general I'm not a huge fan of turquoise w/ black and white - it feels too Deco for me and turns turquoise a bit chilly - but this room is lovely and the rich brown shades and the full, cozy curtains bring a bit of warmth.
I wonder: is that border green or is it the photograph? If it is, it seems an odd pairing, with such a consistent use of turquoise, all of which seems to be in the exact same shade...

One of my favorite rooms! Thanks for the shout out. So happy to see that something I posted about inspired you. It's such an amazing room.
And to the answer the question above the trim is turquoise!
Thanks for the blog love, Erin!!
I actually thought of you when I came across this pic via Camille's blog. In my head, turquoise=Erin LOL!
